Presenting a charming hand-drawn puppy that I quickly sketched for a friend's blog. I dedicated time to creating a collection of unique hand-drawn illustrations for a range of articles. Upon delving into the analytics, it became evident that the posts enriched with my artistic touch experienced a substantial surge in traffic compared to those adorned with generic images sourced from Unsplash.
Flower Sketch
I really enjoyed making this. I used a mechanical pencil, a paper towel for smudging and a really awesome eraser that that had a straight edge so I was able to be more precise with my drawing.
Cottage for a Blog Drawing
Illustrating a simple cottage was a departure from my usual detailed drawings. I tried to maintain a consistent art style for a series of 4 pictures showcased in a blog post. While it posed a challenge, I found satisfaction in exploring a more minimalist approach to my artwork.

This is a cockatiel. We had a cockatiel growing up. Her name was Perdita. She was a beautiful bird. This wasn't for anything. It was an attempt at drawing a bird and having it resemble a bird. I was actually very pleased with the results. This drawing gave me confidence to try things that were a little more difficult.

Hand Drawn Logo for Sweet Treats by Roxi
This hand drawn floral circle was made by Meelie. This is one of two parts of a logo. This part I drew with a mechanical pencil. I then went over all the lines with a fine sharpie. After that I scanned it and uploaded it to my PC. The next part of the logo I'll share later on. I ended up drawing it in gimp with my huion tablet and pen. Then I merged both parts of the drawing. This logo was for a client that we've had for years. They are very nice people and we've enjoyed seeing them grow over the past 5 years.

This is right out of my sketchbook. I really love filling in all the spaces with shapes and shades. I find comfort in creating art like this. I made this on sketchbook paper with a mechanical pencil. I then traced over everything with a fine point sharpie.

For this illustration, I utilized Adobe Photoshop and the round brush tool. I decided to stick to a black and white palette to match the style of the other pieces in the collection. The drawing was handcrafted specifically for a client's blog, aiming to capture a realistic yet artistically drawn art.
