Ready to Begin
I made this digital drawing in photoshop. I made this drawing for a friends blog. After making a few sets of drawings for this friends blog we noticed that the blogs with the handmade drawings vs unsplash images got a significant number more of views and activity than the blogs that had the pictures from unsplash. To see if it was just a fluke or if readers of this particular type of blog gravitate to hand-drawn art, I made a few other sets and this was in one of the sets that I drew.
Although sketching and drawing are the first mediums that I mastered drawing on a digital tablet is not as easy as it looks in the beginning. When I got the tablet I thought I would be instantly good but I was pretty good at pencil and paper. I also can draw using the mouse. A skill I picked up when I got custom orders from content creators and it made more sense to draw it in the app. At that point in time I should had bought a tablet but I couldn't imagine buying an art supply that cost that much for a side hustle. My husband bought it for me for my birthday some time later and I love it. At first it was really hard. The hardest thing about it was figuring out how to draw when your pen is sliding around.
