The Owl's Purple Night

Owl's Purple Night
As dusk begins to paint the sky
In hues of purple, blue and gray
A breeze blows by with gentle sigh
Bringing in the close of day
Out comes the moon, a glowing light
That casts its beams on fields below
And one by one, the fireflies bright
Begin their flashing nighttime show
They flit and float on wisps of air
Like fairies dancing in the night
Their lantern glow without compare
Amid the purple sky so bright
The wind lightly rustles through the trees
As critters scurry to their beds
And owls begin their lonesome wheeze
As daytime's light now flees
The world transformed to shadows deep
Where sparkling bugs send Morse code beams
As nature slumbers, stars will keep
Their watchful eye on lightning dreams
A canvas rich of calming sights
Unfolds on this late summer night
When breezes play and fireflies light
The land in gradients of purple light
